MRL Associates - Margaret McInteer
Margaret McInteer is a consultant in accreditation and school improvement at the Nebraska Department of Education. Throughout her career, she has developed positive, student-focused learning experiences. She works with educators statewide, coordinating workshops and site visits. Margaret also facilitates various state and district improvement processes and participates in planning initiatives. She serves as chair and a team member for many school improvement and external visitation teams.
A dedicated and creative professional educator, Margaret has been successful in multiple roles in K–12 education. She began her career as a speech pathologist and later became director of special services in the Falls City, Nebraska, public school system. In this position, she worked with financial planning and budgeting; parent and community involvement; individual educational plans; special education, Title I, and gifted program monitoring; and classroom management.
As a professional development director for Educational Service Unit 4 in Auburn, Nebraska, Margaret created and delivered training to more than 10,000 educators at regional, state, and national workshops. She consulted with and provided technical assistance to districts on continuous school improvement, curriculum and assessment development, instructional strategies, classroom management, data retreats, and team building.
Margaret has received numerous awards, including the Jaycees Outstanding Young Educator, Outstanding Woman in the Community, Outstanding Educational Service Unit Staff Member, and the State of Nebraska Al Kilgore Award of Excellence for recognition of outstanding leadership in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
She has a bachelor of arts and master of education in speech pathology from the University of Georgia.
