About Dr. Marzano
Robert J. Marzano, PhD, is cofounder and CAO of Marzano Research in Centennial, Colorado. Throughout his decades in education, he has been a speaker, trainer, and author of more than 30 books and 150 articles on topics such as instruction, assessment, writing and implementing standards, cognition, effective leadership, and school intervention. His practical translations of the most current research and theory into classroom strategies are internationally known and widely practiced by both teachers and administrators.
“I’ve always started with the research. Translating it into strategies, helping teachers use the strategies, and hearing that they’re getting good results is what Marzano Research is about. In this complex endeavor called K–12 schooling, there’s a place for tools and strategies that will positively impact students. Marzano Research was created to discover those tools and articulate those strategies in ways that allow teachers and school leaders to use them to effect positive change in students’ lives.”
