Maddie is passionate about education research because it informs data-driven decisions that can enhance access to opportunities for all students, influence polices, and, ultimately, contribute to social change.
As a research associate at Marzano Research, Maddie provides research and technical assistance for various Regional Educational Laboratory Central projects related to at-risk youth, kindergarten readiness, and program evaluation. Her expertise lies in survey design and analysis, program evaluation, and qualitative interviewing.
Previously, Maddie was a research analyst for the Social Research Lab at the University of Northern Colorado, where she worked with clients to design and conduct personalized social research projects. She has worked on a wide range of projects related to charter school evaluations, environmental justice, healthcare, organizational collaboration, culturally responsive program evaluations, and other areas.
Maddie earned her master’s degree in applied sociology from the University of Northern Colorado. She received her bachelor’s degree in sociology, with minors in psychology and business administration, from Bemidji State University.
