Sydney Mock
Research Associate

Hi! I’m Sydney Mock, and I am a research associate at Marzano Research. Before focusing on research, I served for six years in various roles as an early childhood educator. I am passionate about equitable access to infant and toddler care as I developed a soft spot for infants and toddlers over my experience. Most recently, I have supported multiple research projects related to the impact of COVID-19 on childcare and the economy from the perspectives of providers, educators, and families, and parental childcare choice, preferences, and decision-making. I received my Bachelor of Arts in sociology and economics from the University of Denver before completing my Master of Arts in economics also at the University of Denver.

I am originally from Northern California in the Sierra Nevada Mountains but now call the Front Range and Denver home. I love spending time exploring Denver’s many parks, but I have to follow my roots up to the mountains as often as I can.

What I could talk about for hours:

  • Structural Inequality
  • Marx’s understanding of the commodity form
  • Women’s Basketball
