Katie Mason is a research assistant at Marzano Research. She has extensive experience conducting policy analyses, policy scans, and systematic evidence reviews. Katie coordinates the college- and career-readiness research alliance, assisting with regional needs assessment activities and member recruitment.
She previously conducted policy research, wrote publications, and provided analytic support for the National Conference of State Legislatures. She has several years of experience tracking and analyzing state and federal policy; researching policy issues; developing policy positions; providing advocacy-related membership services for child welfare agencies; and working with clients as a lobbyist at both the federal and state levels.
Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and political science and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Colorado Boulder.
