Chris appreciates his work as a grants and contracts administrator because it allows him to make a contribution to improving education, which he sees as a vital pathway to creativity and increased awareness of the world.
Working directly with the chief program officer to strategically build the research department, Chris identifies research opportunities and responds by preparing, writing, and submitting grant and contract proposals. Additionally, he manages and updates financial projections and monthly development reports for the department.
Chris has experience as a researcher in psychology labs at universities, where he coordinated experimental trials, provided data management, and contributed to scientific reports. He has also worked in the Scientific Programs Department at Morris Animal Foundation, a nonprofit foundation that supports research to advance veterinary medicine.
Chris earned his master’s degree in cross-cultural psychology from Brunel University in London. He also holds a bachelor of science degree from Birmingham-Southern College.
