Shane Porter

Shannan (Shane) Porter is an education specialist with Region 9 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She specializes in assisting campuses and districts with school improvement and Marzano’s High Reliability Schools (HRS) Framework. Throughout her 26 years in education, she has served as a classroom teacher, district bilingual testing coordinator, and a campus principal.

As a campus administrator, Shane orchestrated the merger of two schools into one cohesive campus with the implementation of HRS and the Art and Science of Teaching (ASOT). The campus earned the first three levels of certification in one year’s time.

Shane leads trainings in ASOT strategies to teachers and leaders in Texas’s Region 9 area. In addition, she provides on-site coaching to classroom teachers and campus leaders who are transforming their schools to ensure children are positively impacted by the HRS model.

Shane holds a bachelor of science in education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She earned a master of education from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Shane also holds an early childhood certification and a bilingual certification, both in Texas.
